The Wandering Inn has released its first book in stores. I have seen it, held it, and so many of you have bought a copy, and we are at a marker for a long journey I didn’t think I’d reach.
I wasn’t sure what I’d write for this blog, because the hardest thing for me to talk about, in the millions of words I have written with so many characters people tell me are realistic or speak to them, is—myself.

The book is out in stores now. We’ve done it. We’ve reached the end of a long journey and for me, at least, a tiring one getting things to print. Stressful and a flurry of work at times, but we are here and I will be celebrating and seeing the book in stores myself soon.

As you may or may not know, I have been travelling these last few days. I flew off into the skies to sign bookplates in preparation for the book launch which is in four days.Â
Four days. It is a surreal thing to think that this upcoming chapter (which I am working on and is slightly hard given a bit of jetlag) is going to be my last one before I’m, well, a traditionally published author.
You can’t get me to admit I got teary-eyed. And I stand by that!
I talk about dissociation sometimes, and I don’t mean that in the sense I think it’s used in other settings. By that, I just mean that aside from family and people I work with, I have never met a fan of The Wandering Inn in the wild.
