HarperCollins Announcement

When you go on an adventure, remember to take a toothbrush. Go to the bathroom first, charge up your mobile phone, and when the strange faerie waves at you or you step through that doorway and take the stranger’s hand, that’s a choice you should think over carefully. But adventures, like change, are good things.

I’m not an adventurous person, at least, in the physical sense. I don’t travel as much as I could, I get nervous about big events, but I like stories. I like tales where someone goes far from home, takes risks, and comes back better for it. So when you read this, think of it like an adventure. New events can be bad, but some can be truly wonderful.

Blog #16 — 10 Years Anniversary

I thought it was closer to eight years. If you’d had me guess, I’d have put nine at the top, but I did start in 2016. That’s less a commentary on my ability to math and more my perception of how time had passed.

I’m old, dear reader. Not ‘old’. I don’t actually think you ever, truly become old, unless you feel you should be or you stop wanting to be young.

Blog #15 — Palace of Fates Retrospective

I procrastinate in most of my life. And I think if you’re like me, you get why that’s not a joke. I’ve met certain kinds of people who I identify with, who throw themselves into work. They don’t clock out when the shift ends—because they do things they like or they just have that personality—and they keep at it.

I don’t like calling it work ethic or ascribing any moral or character values to it, though there are correlations. A relaxed approach to life and a healthy work/life balance is important, and I, and these people, don’t really have that.

Still Today

On January 24th, 2026, a man named Alex saw another man shove someone off their feet and onto the ground on a snowy road. He walked over to block the woman from being attacked further. In response, the other man began to pepper spray him, and, as Alex was trying to help the woman up, he and several other of his friends gathered around and grabbed the first man, who was on the ground.

As he was immobilized with at least four other men on him, Alex was shot multiple times in the back by one of the other men.

Website Upgrade In Progress!

Hey everyone, I bet you’ve noticed the site is looking a bit different. (And if you didn’t, uh…it is.)

We are in the process of upgrading the website with some new features that we’ll announce as soon as all the changes are good to go! However, at this moment the update is running into bugs, like the Patreon-only chapter not accepting the password. Something to do with cookies?
