I have a longer message on the actual Vault of Forseen Inncentives page, so you can read that. But if you have missed the huge level-up icon at the top and bottom of each page…
I, uh, I don’t know how many more places we can put it, and I don’t do popups. But this is it.
The Vault of Foreseen Inncentives is open. This is a reward-based campaign for anyone who pre-orders so I can give back something to readers willing to do something like pre-order–and entice more readers.
I have a silly goal you can read on the page itself, but just know that I’m serious. Some of the rewards are silly, fun stuff like my favorite bread recipe that I regret ever making because family insists I make it every darn Thanksgiving.
Some of it? Rewards I want you to claim right now if you want them because they are limited stock. I’m really referring to one I’ve had people ask me about just as long as I’ve had requests for physical books: signatures.
I don’t sign things. Well, I didn’t. There are a limited number of signatures in one of the reward tiers (wait, it’s already unlocked), and I don’t intend on making signing things a thing, even if everyone in the world knew what I looked like.
But I will sign a certain number of copies of bookplates stickers–and they will be limited, so claim ASAP if you want one. I personally don’t see the appeal, but that’s because I don’t have any signature from any author I’ve ever loved. And perhaps it would really mean something if I had Terry Pratchett’s signature before he passed away.
…Well, if you want it, claim it.
That’s not even the only reward waiting in the vaults. There are insane ones like Level 20 reward, which would mean I write an entire backstory chapter that could potentially reveal what it was like during the Creler Wars–or even before that!
We might actually get Teriarch in his prime, or Belavierr’s origin story, or Pisces’ necromancer commune. The sky’s the limit if we hit that and I’d do a poll to see which option is to be written.
The Level 100 is a reward I put down because people really wanted it, including my agent, and I will honor it if we hit it, but I don’t want to do it.
But I keep my promises. If you like it, the vault is open.

PS: Here’s a sample of the bookplate. A bookplate is something you can paste into the book. Who knew? Not me. And yes, I have to sign a lot of these. (Also it avoids insane shipping logistics to sign all those books.) I’m not made of hands, y’know. But it looks real nice. Enuryn did the main design, and the Fae is by ArtsyNada, so huge props to them, and to Jade on the webcomic team for making it ready to print. The plan is for gold foil, and each one will be serialized. And I’m gonna sign it.
